I was raised in the Washington, DC area and graduated from Churchill High School in Potomac, MD. In 1989, I accepted a football scholarship to attend the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where I was named to the Atlantic Coast Conference’s Academic Honor Role and earned a starting position at offensive guard under head football coach Mack Brown. Football taught me the importance of preparation, teamwork, effective communication, discipline, perseverance, and above all, the power of having a positive attitude. Since entering the workforce in 1992, I’ve used these skills to achieve success as a salesman, senior executive, business owner, non-profit board member, and commercial real estate broker & developer. I combine my vast deal-making experiences in a wide variety of industries with the mentoring lessons I’ve learned from some of the Carolina’s brightest real estate and business minds. I use all that I’ve learned to help my clients & investors make profitable decisions about commercial real estate and in my leadership of THE SEALS.THE SEALS – I can help you achieve your desired outcome if you:• Need replacement gaskets for your kitchen equipment• Seek employment in North Carolina• Want to own your own franchise My team and I are ready to assist, so please contact me at 704-507-7707 or andy@andydinkin.com.

OwnerThe Seals Jul 2010 - PresentCharlotte, North Carolina AreaIn 2010, the commercial real estate market was two years into a depression that showed no signs of letting up. I started looking for a business to purchase that would leverage my sales & marketing skills and was not very burdensome with operations and logistics. I established the following buying criteria:• Existing demand for the product• A product or service with a residual income stream• Poor and fragmented competition • Recession-resistant• Limited fixed overheadWhen a business broker introduced me to Gaskets Rock of the Carolinas, I knew within minutes of hearing the owners story that it met all my criteria and that I would be a great fit to run his business. Replacing commercial refrigeration gaskets is something that kitchen operators must do on a regular basis for 2 compelling reasons:1. Gaskets wear out—as often as monthly in heavily used locations—and failure to replace them causes cooling problems that can lead to food spoilage and ultimately the need to replace expensive compressors. 2. Torn gaskets are required to be replaced by health inspectors as they can attract mold & bacteria. I rebranded the company THE SEALS, implemented cloud-based customer management & accounting software, expanded the product offering, and in 2018, began a manufacturing division. We service over 2,500 restaurant locations in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia. Our territory managers make the ongoing need to replace refrigeration gaskets simple and affordable. The company also provides:• Ovens & steamer gaskets• Walk-In cooler door replacement & repairs• Door sweeps • Strip curtains • Door handle repairs • Cutting board resurfacing• New cutting boardsLearn more about the company at www.callintheseals.com / 1-800-231-6814 -

Vice President Of Sales And MarketingColdwell Banker Commercial Meca May 2011 - Jul 2016Charlotte, North Carolina AreaThe Pressley family of MECA Properties has an incredible reputation for historic re-development and infill development, and that expertise attracted me to the firm. I spent my first few years focused solely on my own brokerage activities. As the market improved, I transitioned to the role of Vice President of Sales & Marketing, where I led a diverse team providing a wide-variety of brokerage services to clients throughout the Carolinas. My 2015 production earned me a “Deal Maker Award” from the Charlotte Region Commercial Board of Realtors. The most enjoyable transaction during my time with MECA was buying and renovating 521 East Blvd for the Law Firm of Fink & Hayes. http://www.bizjournals.com/charlotte/news/2016/02/19/local-law-firm-relocating-to-east-boulevard.html -
Vice President Of Business DevelopmentLevine Properties Aug 2006 - May 2011Charlotte, North Carolina AreaI started my full-time real estate career in 2006 when I went to work for my friend Daniel Levine at Levine Properties. Levine Properties is a full service real estate & development firm that owns and manages office, retail, industrial and mixed-use properties in the Charlotte area. The company has a concentration of undeveloped land in Charlotte’s Center City and is bringing a mixed-use urban-village concept to First Ward. My main responsibility was to lease vacant space in the company’s 1M square foot portfolio and to assist in the disposition of Greylyn Business Park at a price of $55M. The best part of this job was the mentoring I received from Alvin & Daniel Levine. I use their advice and the experience I gained while working for them to make good real estate decisions for my clients & investors. -
Vice PresidentInroommd Jan 2004 - Aug 2006Charlotte, North Carolina AreaMy friend Andrew Jacobson founded InRoomMD to provide sick travelers with immediate access to quality medical care administered in the comfort and privacy of the traveler's hotel room. I was offered partnership in the business and the position of Vice President. I elected to exit the company when it went to the market for a second round of funding and went to work at Levine Properties. The company has evolved to 1-800MD, where members access physicians over the telephone, through secure email, and via bi-directional video to diagnose illnesses and prescribe medications.

Net Branch OwnerFidelity & Trust Mortgage Jan 2002 - Dec 2004Charlotte, North Carolina AreaWashington, DC business associates of mine presented the opportunity to open a residential mortgage company in Charlotte under their umbrella company, Fidelity & Trust Mortgage, at a time when the housing market was red-hot. I built a sales team and back office loan processing division that allowed my branch to originate upwards of $30M in monthly loan volume with a focus on first-time buyers and new construction lending via small track home builders. I left this business when I received an offer to buy my net branch from Charlotte based Optimum Mortgage. The endeavor taught me a lot about financial underwriting, mortgage-backed securities trading, and how to effectively leverage debt.

OwnerTegra Telephone Systems Sep 1996 - Dec 2000Charlotte, North Carolina AreaHaving been raised by an entrepreneurial mother, I always knew I’d one day own a business. My success at ATCOM drew notice from a local business man I had developed a friendship with, and when I grew restless for more responsibility at ATCOM, he offered the capital and operational expertise required to start my own business.Owning Tegra gave me the opportunity to implement a vision for a world-class sales and service organization. In four years, the company grew to $3M in annual sales with a staff of 25 employees. My Tegra ownership experience was also the catalyst for investing in commercial real estate. My partner and I owned and later sold a building in Center City Charlotte and we also developed a 20,000 square foot building for our business and other tenants in the airport area.I did many things right in growing this business and I learned more than I could have ever imagined. Ultimately my failure to have a better understanding of the accounting side of the business doomed me. I never saw myself leaving Tegra, but a troubled business partnership ended with me selling my interest in the company and the real estate.

Regional ManagerAtcom Business Technology Solutions Aug 1992 - Sep 1996Charlotte, North Carolina AreaMy first job after college was selling telephone equipment and voice mail systems to mid-sized companies in the Charlotte area. It was a winner-take-all, straight commissioned sales environment…and I loved it! The job was the perfect replacement for the competitiveness I had poured into football.ATCOM Business Technology Solutions is a communication solutions provider founded in 1979, and is an industry leader in business voice and information technology. The privately held firm is headquartered in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, with regional offices in Charlotte and the Triad, and has a client base comprising more than 5,000 businesses.I was very fortunate to be mentored by David Finch, a finalist for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year Award for the Carolinas region, and as fine a first boss a young man could ask for. David was gracious enough to send me to The Brooks Group, where I learned the IMPACT Selling Model from the late Bill Brooks. This sales methodology has served me well over the course of my career. After 18 months as a sales executive, I was promoted to regional manager. This promotion gave me experience in creating corporate sales strategies, employee recruitment, and budgeting. I consider myself extremely fortunate to have started my professional career with such a wonderful group of people that gave me the experience and confidence I needed in myself to start a company of my own.
