I research and compile information from local, national, and internet resources and CNN internal files to write anchor scripts for delivery to Newsource affiliates. These anchor scripts are formatted as package tosses, SOT’s, VO’s, teases, or combinations of these formats.

I performed a number of responsibilities, including writing and anchoring network newscasts. I conducted interviews with newsmakers, producing this content both for the network and for distribution to the network’s affiliates. I was also required to edit and approve news copy for publication. At times, I supervised the newsroom, assigning stories and following up with staff on those assignments. I was also responsible for enforcing quality control to ensure that the product delivered to the network’s external clients met CNN standards. Finally, I provided services to the network’s internal clients, including CNN Newsource and CNN Student News.

As the supervisor of the news staff during my shift, I was responsible for preparing newscasts, assigning news stories, and editing news copy. I also anchored a variety of newscasts over different dayparts. I covered and reported on a number of local government events, such as city and county council meetings.

I performed anchoring, reporting, and writing duties. I also assigned stories to the news staff, and filed quarterly issue reports for WRSC's public file.

I served as a news anchor, a news reporter, and a news writer. I was also responsible for producing live news and sports events.

As the co-host of the daily morning show, I was responsible for preparing and delivering newscasts and features.

I worked with the News Department in many different aspects, especially anchoring, reporting, and writing.

I was responsible for conducting interviews, writing sportscasts, and performing color commentary duties for live sports events.

I served as an air personality, a news anchor, and a news writer. I was also responsible for producing public affairs programming.
