Bradninch & Surrounding Area

As a First Responder I volunteered in my community and was tasked by the Ambulance Communications Centre to attend emergencies in my immediate area. The types of emergencies attended ranged from collapse due to medical problems and accidents in the home or in public places.Organised and initiated the availability of four Public Access Defibrillators for my local community and a Night Landing Site for the Devon Air Ambulance.During the Covid 19 pandemic worked in front line role as an Emergency Response Assistant crewing ambulances responding to a wide range of emergencies.

Worldwide

Leader of nine worldwide expeditions to countries in South America, Asia and Europe which each lasted up to a month in duration. Solely responsible for safe, inspirational, developmental and fun experiences in isolated environments and challenging conditions.

Uk & Spain

Taught Key Stage 2 (aged 7 to 11 years old) classes in rural, urban and international schools in a diverse and highly successful fifteen career. My success was defined by the ability to:* Use creative and innovative approaches that motivated and excited pupils whilst ensuring progress and attainment.* Hold school leadership posts and lead whole school teams, including the coordination of Physical Education and Information Communications Technology.* Develop access, equipment, risk assessments, teaching and learning for utilising the outdoors for learning outside the classroom.* Identify training needs, organise and deliver appropriate professional development.* Originate, organise and lead multi-school themed weeks, residential visits and school trips including all aspects of health and safety.* Manage significant budgets and projects achieving excellent value for money and cost savings through a thorough, well researched approach. * Advise management, Governors and an Academy Trust Board on infrastructure, development and sustainability projects.

South East Of England

* Responsible for recruitment and running one of the largest summer camp operations in the UK.* Oversaw seven camps with a capacity of up to 1000 children and upwards of 200 staff.* Ensured a smooth, organised delivery with exemplary safety standards which were reflected in successful annual inspections by the Office for Standards in Education.

Uk And France

Worked for a number of providers from the education authority and commercial sectors.* Gained a clear understanding and passionate belief in using the outdoors as a powerful tool for development and enrichment.* Manager of centres in Wales and France that worked to exceptionally high standards of safety and quality within the framework of the Activity Licensing Act. * Created and lead team development programmes in support of the Royal Mail and the Department of Education in the Republic of Ireland.* Recruited, interviewed, appointed and promoted staff to junior and management positions.
