I work closely with GWS Business Development teams to create documents and presentations in print, screen and projected form. I identify design requirements for each submission and provide templated or bespoke design solutions including interactive and media rich materials. As part of this process I develop integrated infographics and illustrations that clearly convey business processes and value propositions. I take a lead role on strategic opportunities, managing the design, production process, content and timelines for projects, and provide my team with guidance, advice and sound judgment under pressure. I have a strong interest developing collaborative, best practise and innovative workflows and am a keen advocate of robust knowledge management.I provide support to communications, marketing and account teams, developing material for global and vertical market messaging, account communications, advertising and corporate brochures. I also support customer events globally and a variety of employee engagement programmes. I have developed a new visual identity for GWS and deploying first generation materials, templates and guidance documentation to the business. I work closely with external suppliers to maintain brand consistency and performance.

Wellington, New Zealand.Here, as part of the graphics team, my role was to provide graphics support to corporate and the science staff within the institute. This support came in the form of Illustrations, book design, brand management, brochure layout, presentation design, logo design, conference display, poster design, web page design, intranet application deployment and general graphics advice to staff. I worked closely with the General Manager of Strategy, maintaining established brand standards and supporting the continued development of the GNS Science brand.

London, United Kingdom.I joined the European Corporate Communications team working on materials for URS’ European operations. Working in a small, dedicated team I provided the graphic design skills for the various projects Corporate Communications were tasked with. Here I created a European Style Guide – A document detailing the components of the URS brand image in Europe, a corporate web presence (www.urseurope.com), a brochure system, advertising material, conference materials and document templates. I was also solely responsible for the visual design and the development of a pre-release version of the URS Europe web site. This included multiple language ‘local’ sections and a content management system within a customised, database driven site.Prior to 2002 I worked with the Technical Illustration Group, creating report and proposal illustrations. This work included engineering/environmental process and conceptual illustrations, urban development map work and report/proposal cover design. As part of this team I was also involved in a variety of other graphical work including recruitment and general advertising, conference materials, event invitations and presentations.

Auckland, New Zealand.After graduating from Auckland University in 1996 I joined URS (formally Woodward-Clyde) in Auckland as technical illustrator. In this role I produced technical illustrations for reports, proposals and associated presentations. I also created brochures, newsletters, presentations and display material in support of individual projects. Where necessary I assisted the marketing team, providing in-house graphical support for client-side marketing materials including event invitations.
