My career started as a report developer, using several different tools, including, Microsoft Office, Business Objects XI, IBM Cognos, Oracle PL-SQL & SQL Server T-SQL. My current role involves a wide variety of responsibilities, including:• Management of a highly motivated group of data experts delivering a full range of bi services to internal and external customers.• Reporting to the CIO as part of a team delivering improvement to the application, information and process landscape.• Driving the evolution of the company towards being a data driven organisation.• Planning and management of the bi roadmap involving several projects designed to improve the quality of our data architecture, data governance and bi technology architecture.• Collaborating with it suppliers, customers and our own internal teams on a wide range of projects.• Training teams across the business to ensure that they understand the effective collection, processing and use of data to manage the business.
