I was brought in by the client to assist their website transformation programme as it needed to be shifted towards being more customer-centric, as well as delivering back-end system alterations. Starting with only a vague long list of potential work streams and differing priorities from stakeholders, as a Product Owner I designed a Product Hierarchy to show how he broke all the workstreams down into Epics & Features, prioritised the work accordingly and created a roadmap off the back of it. I also trained the team in how to work in a Product Methodology.

Working in the CTO office, my current role requires me to work with senior stake holders to ensure the smooth running of technology. This involves monthly and weekly stats and reporting, as well as creating presentations which will be viewed at Director and CEO level. The reports must be completed in a clear and concise manner and before the deadline. This can often require myself to explain to senior stake holders that their inputs are inadequate and must be improved before I submit.

In optimisation my role centred around determining potential OPEX reductions by retiring legacy platforms and infrastructure. This involved developing a cost analysis of technical moves and savings and writing a business case to showcase said savings. I was tasked with analysing stock attributed to Fixed Network and discover opportunities for reducing the inventory size and create a process for PM's to reserve stock. This work had to be completed quickly and required me to create a presentation detailing Fixed Network stock, which was presented to senior stake holders, in and out of Fixed Networks.

Working in infrastructure for Fixed Networks I analysed Vodafone's capacity and examined our utilisation of sites and devices around the country. To carry out this analysis I have been using a wide range of software such as Cramer, Oracle SQL and using my Excel skills to obtain the company's current situation, this has been carried out to be repeatable, so the analysis can be quickly done at any time. Working with people in a variety of locations around the world I have been using my communication skills to make sure my requests are understood clearly.

As part of the quality department I was tasked with investigating any faults that occur during the fibre optic cable production cycle. This meant analysing the problem, using corrective action to solve the current issue then carrying out preventive action to stop the fault re-occurring. My main project over the year involved creating a data logging and analysis tool for material savings and product conformance. The program I created a Live Feed and a statistical PDF report. The system was projected to save £200k over 5 machines.
