CWSS, PM I managed a difficult, government initiated, contract transfer-in of a statistical workload system. As the primary contact and task manager, critical functions included communication between contractors, the GTM, and the end user as well as within my own development team and corporate management. I shadowed the incumbent development team while gathering project related intellectual property in preparation for the transition date. Key deliverables included the project charter and a staffing profile strategy. I defined project objectives, while developing a course of action to meet the project goals. I worked with the development teams to collaborate on design and function to ensure business requirements were met. I conducted regular team meetings to measure progress against the scope of the release as well as status meetings with the GTM and business owner. Internally I collected and reported project status metrics including hours, billing and project burn rate to senior management and the company CEO. Sr Systems Analyst/Team Lead I was responsible for generating product and release specific intellectual property as well as leading the software development team including .Net and database developers and a QA analyst. The solution was a case management service which tracked the applications of Iraqi and Afghan nationals who have worked with the US Government and are now under threat. As part of the project close out I held on site user training with release specific training material I developed. I facilitated a lessons learned meeting and documented feedback as well as reported findings to customer to ensure project acceptance. With careful review of documentation supporting evidence is summarized for approval by the DHS SEVP IT Chief then implemented in Production environment. Lead a team of content developers on a proprietary risk assessment software application that evaluated the impact of physical and cyber threats at USDA facilities. The application led the user through a detailed site risk assessment and delivered customized and cost-effective solutions. Particular focus was given to state homeland security departments and first responders. Resources for the physical modules included FEMA 426 and 427, and GSA Guidelines. The IT module was based on the NIST 800 series, including 800-26. Other duties included researching specific functional area security standards to develop application data sets.
