The service was built with javascript, jquery, jquery UI, apache, PHP, mongodb, c++ development tools on the backend and deployed to a vmware based cloud environment.See demo video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kvtk83fIVQk.
Sr. Software Engineer
Sr. Software EngineerDuring my time at Intel's Developer Relations Division, I worked with a small group of developers to define, implement and deploy client side native web apis. These api's were implemented using the NPAPI plugin architecture and exposed CPU, Network and Battery information to web apps via a javascript API. I implemented the USB host interface and transceiver bus driver code (in C).During an early, internal phase of this project I was responsible for the embedded operating system on an IXP425 based implementation the RFID radio controller board. We built a custom linux kernel and modified an existing IXP425 based distro and combined it with ecos / redboot for boot, system recovery and firmware update. During this phase I also implement a linux kernel module to communicate with the radio board over an HPI bus.
Sr. Software Engineer, Extended Computing Division
During my time in the extended computing division I was a Sr. Software Engineer, implementing firmware and kernel modifications for Xscale cpu based consumer electronics. (look up PXA250 and PXA255)This work was almost entirely in C, and mostly targeted the Windows CE operating system; although there was some prototyping with early embedded linux implementations.During this time, our organization built several hardware reference designs. Each design included and operating system port (board support package) and demo applications.Device categories included:- portable media players: stored and played video (h264) and music (various audio codecs)- wireless smart displays: tablet-like devices with remote desktop capabilities, working over wifi.My responsibilities included low level BSP implementation and porting, including bus code (pcmcia, ethernet, serial, usb), touch screen drivers, and kernel debug interfaces. I implemented the device-side part USB mass-storage profile from scratch using ATA references found at T13. This allowing our device to appear to a PC as a hard disk (which was new'ish / not common at the time).
