In the last four years we met and exceeded challenging goals as OPW went through many significant transitions. As Manager of the Supply Chain function in Cincinnati, my team worked in concert with Manufacturing, Engineering, Customer Service, Dover Sourcing Teams to exceed stretch goals for delivery, cost reduction and inventory reduction while managing a diverse base of Global Suppliers.Here are a few of my Notable Results as Senior Supply Chain Manager:• Reduced inventory by 40% in 2012 and exceeded goals for cost savings, achieving 3.4% working capital, one of the lowest of all Dover operating companies. Presented results at Dover Kaizen Fair: Spring 2013.• Integrated the Oracle ERP System with current operations for the Supply Chain enhancing management methods.• Originated the Supply Chain Kaizen Board as a management tool which tracked daily, weekly and monthly department accomplishments.• Practiced Lean Manufacturing techniques daily to improve operations throughout the plant. Responded with many cost savings kaizens.• Created consignment contracts that managed over 20% of spend through a third party warehouse, then extended consignment by implementing an in-plant consignment program.• Implemented, managed and tracked over $12.0 million in Cost Reductions making OPW products more competitive and market leaders.• Increased Global Purchasing to 20% of spend sourcing goods in China, Taiwan and India. I received a promotion and an expansion of my responsibilities. I was instrumental in the launch of the OPW PISCES line, a complete underground secondary fuel containment system purchased exclusively from a group of dedicated high-quality suppliers. The PISCES Product line was very successful taking significant market share from the industry leaders. The role of the sourcing team was key to that success.SIGNIFICANT RESULTS AS MATERIALS MANAGER• Managed a supply chain team of seven professionals including three direct reports and four associated professionals. Exceeded corporate goals consistently. • Led a cross-functional team that used root cause analysis to correct inventory inaccuracy. Created procedures that were integrated into OPW culture to reduce inventory shrink by over 90%.• Developed definitions for obsolete and slow moving inventory (OSMI), used by other Dover Companies. Reduced OSMI from $4.4 million to $1.2 million in two years (eventually to $336,000) resulting in a significant improvement in inventory turns.• Custom-tailored supplier stocking programs designed to reduce inventory and improve on-time delivery, including Kan Ban, electronic Kan Ban, Vendor Managed Inventory systems, product demand sheets, and a Supplier Portal. Supplier on time performance increased to 98%. • Sourced scores of new products, developing new types and sources leading to great success of the PISCES Product lines..

I spent much time initially establishing and developing key sources to allow OPW to grow painlessly.
