A results oriented commercial leader specialising in the media and ad technology markets. I have over 25 years experience in senior management positions in some of the leading media brands in the UK including Capital, Emap and Telegraph Media Group where I was Agency Sales Director. I am currently the Chief Revenue Officer at the Independent, the UK's #1 quality news brand. Since joining, the company has seen rapid expansion with the last 2 years delivering 35% top line revenue growth as well as record breaking profits. I am responsible for all ad revenues including, direct, programmatic, performance, outsourced, solutions as well as ads operations and delivery. Alongside the team in the UK, I'm responsible for our commercial team in the US, headquartered in New York but also located in LA. We have plans to expand further into the US to support our significant and high value audiences in North America. We are now a team of 60 plus globally with a significant increase in headcount to support this period of exponential growth. We recently launched our branded content sales and production team; Independent Ignite. The team has grown our solutions revenues by 250% in our first year of trading. In addition to my experience in publishing and as a media owner I had ten incredible years in ad tech. In 2009 I joined Grapeshot as their first commercial employee (employee #6). I was fundamental to the company's growth from an unknown start up in the UK with zero customers to a global business with a multi million pound turnover resulting in a $325m exit. I have also held leadership positions at Tremor Video (Telaria) where I was Managing Director EMEA and at Amobee where I was VP Sales, EMEA.
