My expertise in electromagnetics began in 2009 when I joined the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa, for postgraduate studies in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. My research focused on the South African Square Kilometre Array project and was funded by them and the South African National Research Foundation (NRF). I received my MSc-Eng in 2011 and PhD degree in 2014. Then for two years (from 2015 to 2016), I did postdoctoral works on high-frequency metrology and antenna design. 3D printing techniques became popular and available to general public around that time, it was the main tool that I used for antenna prototyping and manufacturing. My investigations in the field of electromagnetic compatibility include: material shielding effectiveness evaluation, antenna design, time-domain electromagnetics and complex electromagnetic coupling problem. I also have a background in physics and received an MSc degree in geophysics, DEA (Diplome d'Etudes Approfondies), from the Univerisity of Antananarivo, Madagascar, in 2004. Before coming to South Africa, I was an active member of the seismic and infrasound laboratory of Madagascar, a subdivision within the Institute and Observatory of Geophysics of Antananarivo also known as IOGA. I was involved in various projects concerning the Madagascar seismic observation network and the CTBTO (Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization) infrasound monitoring station.I joined MESA Solutions in 2017, a consulting firm based in CapeTown and specialising in electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) related topic. Apart from giving EMC short courses, my job at MESA Solutions allowed me to travel and visit great infrastructures implanted throughout South Africa and neighbouring African countries. I like travelling and we did a lot of work on the 64 MeerKAT (Karoo Array Telescope) interferometry (located within the core of the Square Kilometer Array (SKA) Telescopes), wind and solar farms. My academic journey introduced me to the “theoretical” part of Radio frequency Interference (RFI). All of the activities I have been involved in since 2017 have brought a vast practical knowledge concerning RFI mitigation.
