Profile bio

About Andy Roberts

I am naturally entrepreneurial and enjoy problem solving. While I have maintained my interest in artificial intelligence and technology, more recently I have spent more of my energy working with people and providing advisory. Now I am somewhere between a people person who knows technology or a techy person who works well with people. My startup company, Rogue Lumens, has been a chance for me to solve a problem and add value to a sector where I have previously been the customer and now can deliver to others like me. We aim to reinvigorate exhibitions by providing a premium economy option for exhibitors to express themselves and their brands better using technology. While CEO of the Water Industry Alliance I gained skills in working with Ministers and Government as well as the private sector. This time also broadened my knowledge of the issues facing the water industry both nationally and internationally and also helped me make a strong global network of professionals.I am a generalist and enjoy learning new things. My career path as a water engineer developing artificial intelligence for water modelling, and then progressing into project management, sales, business development and ultimately CEO of the WIA is testament to this versatility.Specialities: Business Strategy, Startups, Sales and Business Development, Applying Artificial Intelligence for Real World Problems, Water Network Asset Management and Planning, Optimization of Water Systems, Pressure Management, Hydraulic Modelling and Coding of Solvers.

Listed skills include Water, Water Resources, Sustainability, Project Management, and 46 others.
