I have worked with statistics and programming in multiple languages for over 6 years, and am super invested in the data science field. I am proficient in both Java and Python, and comfortable with HTML and CSS. While these experiences have primarily surrounded my education, I am excited and ready to begin converting these experiences into a blossoming career. I have spent many years volunteering and learned how to work to better not only myself, but also my community and peers surrounding me. Such volunteering includes processing and managing excess farm produce for food shelters, tutoring international children in English, and overseeing young children in a local summer camp, whose combined efforts have led me to receive multiple Presidential Volunteer Service Awards. I have a very strong work ethic and sense of teamwork, having spent multiple years on a swim team, violin duo, and acapella group. However, all of these extracurriculars did not prevent me from performing well academically as well. In addition to the programming languages I am familiar with, I am also familiar with linguistic languages such as Mandarin, German, Greek, and Czech. I think of myself as a friendly, funny, and person easy to cooperate with, but I am also super ready to work hard and become a true professional in the data science industry. I am dedicated to obtain the one thing I'm truly missing: the chance to gain some of the most important experience in my life.

  Summer Camp Counselor

  New England Chinese Youth Summer Camp

  I began this experience by working with my fellow counselors to plan some major events for the campers, such as a field day and sport events. While the camp was in session, I coordinated with the counselors of 19 other groups of campers to schedule a full day of activities for my group of 8-9 year old campers every day for 3 weeks. I made sure to lead the campers and be a good example for them, all while making sure that they were focused on the activities and most importantly having fun and working with each other. Examples of activities that I planned were swimming, a sports day with other groups, learning skills such as calligraphy, dancing, and cooking, and a final goodbye celebration.
