Specialising in the tunnelling industry with experience of all aspects of the project lifecycle, from feasibility and development through to completion and maintenance. Experienced working for the Contractor, Designer and Project Manager in Senior Engineering /Technical Design Management related roles with a subject matter expert focus on various major tunnelling projects up to £1.2b, in various ground conditions using various construction techniques. Construction technique focus areas include: Sprayed Concrete Linings (SEM); Segmental Linings (PCC & SGI) – Constructed by Hand, Slurry TBM, EPB TBM and Shields; Timber Excavations (Inc. PCC & SGI); Junctions & Complex intersections; Hard Rock tunnelling (TBM’s & SCL); Slope Stabilisation Portals (Soil Nails / Rock Bolts); Retained Boxes (Diaphragm Walls/ Secant Walls/ Contiguous/ King Post); Shafts (SCL/ Underpinning/ Jacked Cassions).
