As a founding engineer at FireflyFR, my focus has been on platform architecture, machine learning applications, analysis of biosignals, biofeedback, and Jupyter analysis of collected medical data. Our keystone project is developed in Unity3D targeting OpenVR, PicoXR, SteamVR for the Vive, Oculus, and Pico Neo headsets.

As co-founder of Howling Moon Software, I have authored or participated in the development of over a dozen video games on platforms from the original iPhone to the latest iPads, Android tablets, custom x86 tablets, Mac, Windows, and Unity3D webplayer. We also have game console experience on XBox One, PS4, and Nintendo 3DS. We've used technologies including Chipmunk2D, C#, Objective-C, OpenGL, Metal, and Unity3D to meet the goals of our clients.I have experience with VR using the HTC Vive in Unity projects. I've also worked on computer vision projects, with useful applications in XR and AR projects. At Howling Moon Software, we've used machine learning in real-world client applications, training a neural network to recognize guitar chords in an educational app. Co-founder Scott Lembcke wrote Chipmunk Physics, and we work to maintain it as the best 2D Physics engine. We've worked to integrate it into the Cocos2D game engine.Howling Moon Software also develops non-game software, especially for projects that benefit from our high performance or graphics experience, such as 3D drone path visualization software for Botlink. In 2018, I released Verdant Skies, a life simulation game for Mac/PC on Steam.Our clients include Disney, Warner Bros, silicon valley tech startups, local Minnesota companies, and independent developers all over the world.

Developed a Java Tomcat application for School Administration. I focused on Infinite Campus State Edition, synchronizing data over the network between many district editions and the state databases. I also spearheaded projects to simplify application configuration and launching, and I moved the company from an old locking version control system to Subversion. As part of the SVN move, I co-authored an Eclipse plugin and trained other developers in its use. I also took part in significant upgrades to the client-facing Gradebook applet, the only Swing app at the company.I also spent a lot of time mastering XSLT and SQL, but I don't want to talk about that.

Developed a JUnit-like testing platform for the Gateway team that issues XML requests and validated the response.
