I have developed a forward-looking technology plan, while cultivating a new VDC Services Team. Together we are integrating tools/processes company-wide that enable PARIC and our extended teams to be more collaborative, efficient, all while improving quality and reducing project costs and durations.Working with core business units, I researched and selected enterprise solutions to achieve key goals. Using these tools the VDC group now administers: design coordination/clash avoidance, laser/UAV scan processing, document management, RTS layout, and field management (safety/quality) to aid construction activities all across the nation. This has resulted in significant reductions in changes orders, RFI’s, and has enabled our teams to focus on ‘building’ faster and mitigating costs.To integrate VDC technology within Precon, we are rebuilding the database, integrating 2D/3D material take-off, and implementing BIM enabled estimating, scheduling, conceptual budgeting, and historical analysis tools. For this project I researched multiple platform providers to identify a leading-class solution that will integrate with our systems, and reduce time creating winning estimates.Converging Design, Construction, and Analytical technology enables us to innovate. Working with industry leading technology providers has enabled us to influence development of new tools. Drawing on our creative experience, VDC routinely aids B/D pursuits with conceptual designs/master plans, and utilizing AR/VR simulations to enable clients to visualize projects, and consider sequencing/logistics enables informed decisions. Aiding project pursuits with marketing and business development units has enabled us to develop note-worthy presentations to win work and showcase our capabilities, further establishing PARIC’s reputation as an industry leading design-builder.
