Started in the mines from school, at Hatfield Main, gained promotion 1984, to Shift foreman at Bentley colliery before gaining promtion again to surface superintendent at Markham in 1987. I was made redundant in 1992 when the goverment decided we no longer needed a coal industry.1992- 1995 Doncaster Metropolitan Borough Council, employed as a Gypsy liason Officer some very interesting times spent in this role.1995-2017, found my way onto the railway working for various agencies and contracts until 1998 when i was offered employment with Jarvis. Here I covered various roles as a SM1 on the TCS project. I then moved to Geotechnical team carrying out trackbed investigations, drainage surveys, bank slip monitoring etc. I was also working part time for the York S&C team eventually joining them full time as a SM2. Since then I have constantly been involved with major projects for all the main players in the industry, until 2017 where i made the decision to move into training, gaining a level 3 training certificate and an assessment certificate,.2017-2020 Neway Trainig Solutions, Having gained the necessary certificates, i gained employment with Neway Training solutions and was soon out delivering Technical training around the country to the rail industry. Through Neway Training Solutions I gained valuble experience of not only trainI gotta to all the major companies in the UK, but also I had the privilege to deliver training in the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
