As the Operations Manager, I helped our team develop their skills and knowledge. I lead the multiple operational processes to deliver sales and profits while protecting our assets. I was the primary officer for all processes with omnichannel sales, loss prevention and reporting. I lead a team of well-trained team members to deliver a customer-centric shopping experience. As the Store Manager, I lead a team of associates in providing a unique coffee experience to customers by providing exceptional, prompt customer service, quality beverages and products while maintaining a clean and comfortable environment. I was responsible for executing the daily operations of the store, ensuring customer satisfaction and product quality, managing the store's financial performance as well as safety and security within the store. This was a brand new store that I was responsible for recruiting and training of Assistant Store Managers and Baristas, in addition to becoming a Certified Barista and Barista Trainer myself. I am also certified in the Starbucks Management Program, the Starbucks Operations Program and the Starbucks Brand Management Program. The store was considered an exceptional success by Starbucks Divisional Managers by achieving top scores in Customer Experience and Operations.

Reporting to the manager of Conference Services, I began my employment with Brock University as a part time, summer bartender in April of 1999. After exceptional performance, I was hired full time in September of 1999. I quickly progressed into the role of Head Bartender for Hospitality, and also with the campus entertainment centre, Brock Centre for the Arts. After my graduation from the Kinesiology program in 2002, I was promoted to the role of Manager of Hospitality Services. In this role I was responsible for overseeing all of the Food and Alcohol services, for all on-campus events, as well as selected events off-campus in which Brock University had representation. This included recruitment, training and management of staff, budget management, alcohol tenders and contracts, liaise and coordinate events with Sodexo and other departments within the University as well as being a hands on team leader for certain events.
