During my tenure, I attended Dart Container's annual safety conference as the Dart Engineering representative where I presented several case studies to our manufacturing and regional safety representative on the delays and costs incurred when safety is administered in a non-standard, opinion based way rather than a comprehensive and consistently applied standard operating procedure.

These issues would include getting in-house weld fixtures re-calibrated/rebuilt, working with suppliers and their processes to raise component quality as received, design functional improvements into our product as a result of market feedback, and all of the other typical manufactuing/design engineering responsibilities.
