A new strategy for designing and delivering software user documentation is essential to improving user experience today.Looking to link with:- participants, technical writers, infomedians and architects to discuss where information strategy and architecture is going - we need to stop talking about norms and concentrate on processes and value.- software managers, product managers, scrum masters to discus how to re-inject user documentation and working on user satisfaction - maybe we don't need to explain the basics anymore, but keeping users onboard will involve giving more that what was calssical documentation.Trained as a social psychologist, I've been designing and writing documentation for the oil industry since 1988, and am now Documentation Software Products Manager for Tech Advantage in the Paris area. Having seen methods, norms and formats come and go, due to my training I naturally prefer to concentrate on the people involved in the processes and the end user requirements. With the advent of social and collaborative media, it’s now time to focus on role in the chain of delivery.Documenation delivery to users of software has to change, be agile and more reactive. Harnessing feedback and expert input is where we will go.
