  Back in the late 1980s and early 1990s, Tom Harris, CEO of ANDY OnCall®, built a reputation as a homebuilder. People kept asking him to take care of their small projects because they knew he would take care of them, so he decided to start Craftsman OnCall in November of 1993.In the spring of 1995, Tom’s daughter, Tamara graduated from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Tom made what would turn out to be a pivotal decision to ask his daughter to come in and run the business, focusing efforts on expansion.From the Chattanooga office, Tom and Tamara set their sights on Atlanta. It wasn’t long before they realized they would need an invested business owner in order to truly watch it grow, and thus, our franchise business model was born.Fuel for Franchise GrowthIn 1997, Tamara started developing the computer software program that culminated into the program used to run the business today. In 1998, we developed the Uniform Franchise Offering Circular (UFOC) and our manuals, and we changed the name to ANDY OnCall®.The original business, located in Chattanooga, Tennessee became our first franchise in May of 1999. Once everything was perfected, the next franchise opened in Marietta, Georgia in February of 2000, and we’ve been growing ever since.
