An architecture firm specializing in healthcare facilities, utilizing concepts borrowed from the semiconductor industry that enable architects and planners to rapidly explore thousands of potential hospital and clinic designs, as compared to the traditional five or six.My responsibility is to make these tools accessible to our architects, planners, and clients, a discerning group of experts with a critical eye for quality design and attention to detail, who do not have the time to learn complicated processes and procedures. After exploring many potential solutions I build the web-based, REST-driven front end to these tools, capable of running on both desktops and tablets.

Led design of award-winning Autodesk Envision, a Windows/Tablet PC product enabling management, field personnel and other non-technical individuals to explore and visualize 3D GIS and civil engineering data from a variety of sources.Led and participated in site visits, research, interaction design, usability testing, and assisted in forming the overall vision for a variety of solutions which enable 2D and 3D data creation, visualization, and analysis for the GIS, civil engineering and electric utility industries.Particularly challenging was the varied user-types involved, from young, computer-savvy technicians that create and edit data to middle managers with moderate computer skills but with the need to explore complex 2D and 3D information.
