MKT Solutions is a boutique advisory firm which specialises in FX, derivatives and treasury risk management. As an Associate I work directly under the Managing Director.Our clients are either importers, exporters or manage foreign assets and liabilities.It is my primary responsibility to liaise with the client and FX provider to ensure the client is trading at the correct price, in a product that is compatible with their FX hedging requirements.

Management of Life Insurance sales in the Bancassurance space. Responsibilities included:- Leading a team of sales people and managers for key bank partnerships.- Bank partner relationship management with the Head of Bancassurance and Head of Retail Banking.- Lead for New initiatives including media content, Customer campaigns, Internal sales motivation presentations, Establish program for the activation of new sales staff.- Project Manager for the addition of a new Banking partner requiring provision of information to the partner as well as extraction of information from the partner, cash flow modelling, strategic papers, Q&A, Regional Head Office approval.

I was a member of a client management team for Hedge Funds and Professional Trading Corporations. Responsible for medium to large Australian Hedge Fund relationships as well as secondary cover for a large Investment Bank and Asian based Hedge Fund clients. Clients traded cash equities, futures, options, portfolio and various swaps, foreign currency and corporate bonds. Positions could be a long or short trade, local or international. With Prime Brokerage being the hub of the client relationship, we had responsibilities across all of the above departments.

The most senior member of a client service team responsible for the day-to-day account management of both advisers and end client’s margin lending needs. This included overseas stocks being used as collateral for the AUD loan, in turn giving me exposure to Foreign Exchange responsibilities.Assisted Director in the wind down of the Margin Lending business. This involved an analytical project management style approach to systematically refinance loans out and transfer assets away within a fixed deadline. Gained valuable experience on how to plan & execute the closure of a business unit.

Through the wholly owned subsidiary Leveraged Equities, I was primarily responsible for the product growth of margin loan, home loan and cash based products to Financial Advisers. This involved identifying, pitching and negotiating to an adviser base greater than 400 persons in both Victoria and then later in New South Wales. Adviser training, adviser and client presentations, public speaking, event management were among my many responsibilities.

Primarily a phone based client service role assisting Financial Advisers and their clients with margin lending related queries. Negotiation of loan terms, expeditious settlement of margin calls as well as other credit risk related breaches.

I joined ANZ on the Graduate Program initially through Esanda Finance completing 3 month stints in North Sydney and Parramatta. Leasing, hire purchase, novated leasing and property finance were some of the products I was exposed to.I then moved into ANZ Bank itself at Martin Place in what was effectively a Customer Service Officer role. Analysing client financials and supporting the Assistant Managers was part of the responsibilities. I also was made acting Team Leader of the Back Office support team at various stages during this time.
