Responsible for the design and implementation of a component to allow import and export of data between Utilitran’s centralised supply chain management system and clients’ Intuit QuickBooks files, by the way of the QuickBooks API and in-house web services.Developed additional components to integrate the web pages from the Utilitran portal into a desktop environment and enhancements to the central “broker” web service.

Part of a team to develop a new oil well management n-tier application, based on object oriented analysis, design and development. The application was developed on .NET, using C# against SQL Server databases. Primary responsibilities included the design and development of business-layer and UI-layer components, as well as database objects such as stored procedures.The project featured techniques used in agile methodologies, such as continuous integration; refactoring; code generation; test-driven development

Sole responsibility for enhancement and development of two major in-house business systems: Materials Management; Marketing, Inventory & Distribution. This predominantly involved analysis and programming. However, major projects involved all aspects of the System Design Life Cycle: requirements gathering, analysis, design, implementation, debugging, testing, documentation and user support. A key achievement was the overhaul of the Marketing system, including incorporation of common components, upgrade of data access from DAO to ADO, removal of redundant code and components, conformity to in-house GUI and code standards, and performance improvement. After the changes were implemented, the system was over 15% smaller, despite having added functionality. Data load times were improved by factors of typically between five and fifteen. The system was more responsive to changing demands within a dynamic business environment.
