Co-founder & Managing Director of Anthemz, Christchurch's newest radio station (https://anthemz.nz), a station focused on playing the biggest dance anthems of the last 30 years. Also currently working as the breakfast show host, on air from 6-10am weekday mornings.

Provide strategic direction and vision casting for youth orientated radio station, including all fund raising for investment prior to launch, liaising with advertising agencies & fellow media organisations.• Manage a team consisting of a paid staff of up to 10, and over 50 volunteers.• Work with Sales Manager on strategies and KPI's to achieve sales targets and report to Radio Station board.• Programme Director for youth orientated radio station with surveyed audience of at least 14,500.• Utilise Zoho CRM in the Cloud for our customer relationship• Promote radio station using social networks, building a following of over 7000 online members• Migrate entire accounts systems to Xero cloud based accounting solution (post quake)This was a passion project, and was well on the track towards being a successful endeavour before the Canterbury Earthquakes of September 4th 2010 and Feb 22nd, 2011. Post quake the business left the airwaves for several months after trading became difficult, returning to the market in 2012.

After Geovert identified a misstep in changing IT providers from my previous company to a leading nationwide brand, they offered me the role of IT Manager to get their vital infrastructure back on track across both Australia & New Zealand. As IT Manager I oversaw the development of the information technology infrastructure for the entire company, operating in diverse locations across Australia and New Zealand. During this period we grew from a company with a head office in Christchurch and one small office in Australia, to a Head Office in Sydney, with branches in Christchurch, Auckland, Gladstone, Perth, Brisbane, Jakarta, and Singapore. What started as a self-employment side project led to me employing and managing an engineering & sales team of 6, working within the small business sector in Christchurch. Clients included firms in engineering, financial services, healthcare products, education institutions, recruitment, churches and even a golf club. As a technical sales consultant and senior engineer when required, I assisted clients with a wide range of I.T. issues including infrastructure, software, hardware, mobility, security, SharePoint, disaster recovery solutions, etc. Whether I was supporting a doctor, a teacher, a minister or the director of a company my friendly outgoing style and ability to explain IT principles in plain english stood me in good stead as we built the company.

Working in both recruitment and IT consultancy, I placed people in permanent and temporary/contract positions at various tech firms, while also managing the internal network & systems for APS, and consulting to clients for their IT needs.As well as being a recruitment consultant for permanent & temporary IT personnel, I looked after Network Administration & Management, Field Support and Consultation on I.T. infrastructures, upgrades, etc. I also took on the role of graphics designer and web designer (working in FrontPage, Dreamweaver, Cold Fusion and raw HTML) & website management as needed.

ASAP Party Sounds was a winning partnership between Andrew Shields (AS) and Andy Poulsen (AP). Andy provided the DJ skills, while Andrew managed the sound system and lights. Later additional DJ's were added to the roster as demand grew for our services. As well as working as the main DJ, I would also provide master of ceremony services from time to time as well.Over 15 years we performed at hundreds of corporate events, 21st's, weddings, socials and youth events.

On air announcer, working in a variety of shifts across my time there, including Drive (2pm-7pm weeknights), Breakfast (6am-10am weekdays) and hosting the weekend evening Party Show. I also worked as the Assistant Programme Director, the IT Manager & Administrator, and conducted research, data entry and statistics collation.

Managing the support division of CAT, while also working as a workshop and onsite support engineer for our customer base running PC's and CAT's produced software (accounting, POS, etc). Perform helpdesk tasks, staff training, manual & documentation writing for software products, customer training, graphics design work, and providing IT support for Mace Engineering.

Main tasks included circuit board construction, assembly and testing, support of PC systems in the workshop and in the field, installation of hardware & software on new PC's sold to customers, manual & documentation writing for our software products, phone and on-site support for software products, PosTrac, CashTrac, EduTrac, etc. Logo and advertising creation, network installation & support in Windows, ScoUnix and NetWare.

My first full time position straight out of school and for a time I loved it! We sold BBC, Atari and Acorn computers, provided in store support, and sold a range of calculators and watches also.After 18 months I decided that straight retail wasn't challenging enough for me and returned to full time study at Cashmere High School for my 7th form (Year 13) year. I continued to work Saturdays at Whitcoulls Riccarton for the next 3 years part time.
