Reporting to the MD of Individual Protection and a member of the Individual Senior Leadership Team, my main remits/responsibilities include:Intermediary strategy & development- Intermediary strategic lead for product, proposition and underwriting development, with the aim of expanding AIG Life's intermediated distribution footprint.- Responsibility for co-ordination of Intermediary new business development, including panel tenders, sales campaigns and commercial initiatives.- Business lead for the development and distribution of specialist/non-core propositions - e.g. HNW, wealth, business protection, specialist mortgage cover and non-UK resident business.- Monitor industry and competitor developments to identify opportunities for proposition innovation.Business technical support- Oversight for support and training on complex technical areas such as business protection, taxation and trusts, and responsibility for specialist marketing, trust and digital tool development.- Maintain awareness of relevant regulatory and product governance requirements as pertains to Intermediary business, e.g. IDD/POG, PROD and Consumer Duty.- Media/PR spokesperson for specialist/technical matters and thought leadership.Management of Specialist Sales Team- The Specialist Sales Team has responsibility for managing a select panel of HNW protection specialists, private/investment banks, business protection specialists and wealth managers.- Since the launch of the HNW/Wealth proposition in 2016, the International proposition in 2017 and creation of the Specialist Sales Team in 2018, annual sales of specialist business have more than quadrupled.Distribution Quality Management (DQM)- Previously had oversight of the business’ DQM function, which aims to keep appropriate control of distribution risk, e.g. persistency (CFI/NTU/lapses), business mix and claims experience.

I was appointed as Head of Intermediary Sales on an interim basis in January 2023 alongside my existing role, taking on additional responsibility for the wider Intermediary sales team, distribution strategy and co-ordination of marketing/engagement packages. Intermediary lead for the business’ Take to Market project group for product/proposition launches and campaigns.
