Andy is Co-Founder & Chief Engineering Officer of MarTech SaaS startup Thrive Commerce. Through a single-tag universal integration that takes minutes, Thrive provides eCommerce merchants with a diverse, AI-enhanced on-site suite of powerful promotional tools to publish, personalize, and highly optimize online and in-store promotions for their shoppers, as well as driving incremental customer acquisition.Andy architected and built Thrive's high-volume, high-availability integration and tracking applications and infrastructure elegantly from scratch based on extensive and robust career experience with such systems and clients since the dawn of the commercial Internet.Aside from continued software engineering and infrastructure for these systems, and critical problem solving and mentoring for other systems and team members, Andy also leads integration configuration, demos, and sales engineering, working directly with Thrive's clients and prospects.

Andy was the Director of Software Engineering for the freshly-branched Affiliate Marketing business unit of later-stage AdTech startup Adknowledge. Adknowledge was a huge early eCommerce pioneer who, during Andy's tenure, CNBC named as second only to Google in terms of its huge aggregate AdTech revenue across a breadth of native units and extensive acquisitions.On day one at Adknowledge, Andy singlehandedly took ownership of troubled legacy, ultra-high-volume CPC tracking/bidding systems which were actively driving ~$300K daily revenue ($100MM annual). Within 6 weeks he built a robust team of 5, each with deep AdTech industry and same-technologies experience to swiftly stabilize and grow said systems.This role involved the full spectrum of hands-on architecture, software engineering, infrastructure, analytics, team leadership, and corporate responsibilities. Andy led tech due diligence and executed tech and personnel adoption and integration for M&A acquisitions, and was part of successful 9-figure funding toward future acquisitions in Adknowledge's continuing diversification and consolidation efforts.

Founded in 1996, LinkShare (now Rakuten Advertising) is continually referenced as the quintessential Silicon Alley (NYC) success story, entrepreneurially powering through the original dot-com boom and bust, achieving record growth in a rough market and a historic M&A sale. LinkShare was the original AdTech pioneer of tech and patents that first enabled the performance-based commission model (CPA rather than CPM or CPC) on the Web. They rapidly built a robust affiliate marketing network of clients including the literal majority of IR100 merchants, hundreds of huge publishers, and a long tail of 100Ks of other affiliates. After (then proprietary) internationalization/localization led by Andy, LinkShare also rapidly built a similarly-sized independent network of clients in Japan seamlessly upon the existing technology and infrastructure.Over 5 years as Director of Software Engineering, Andy's hands-on architecture and engineering for these ultra high-volume, direct-revenue systems, his internationalization/localization work, and his team leadership and extensive recruiting efforts, have each been recognized with numerous awards, credentials, and KPI records. Amid the rough aftermath of the dot-com bust of 2000, Andy led a breadth of critical efforts and decision-making that enabled growth leading to LinkShare being recognized by Deloitte and Touche as the #1 fastest growing tech company in the greater NYC region for each 2002 and 2003, and the acclaimed $425MM cash sale of LinkShare to Rakuten (JP) in 2005.Andy continued an additional 5 years as VP of Software Engineering leading a team of 25 for the $10B parent Rakuten. In this role, he also led tech due diligence and adoption and integration of tech systems and personnel for M&A acquisitions to diversify LinkShare (now known as Rakuten Advertising) into incremental AdTech LOBs beyond affiliate marketing, and internationally.

During high school and college, Andy fully produced 50+ small business websites in the early days of the Web. Complete web/graphic design, web application coding, hosting, and maintenance.
