I've had a wonderful and varied career to date spanning lots of disciplines. I started by touring Europe as a musician and singer. I had a great time but didn't earn any money so when a family came along my tight pants and guitar were rested in a cupboard.I then spent the best £30 of my life. I bought a Sinclair ZX81. 1k memory and a 16k RAM Pack. Then a Sinclair Spectrum and then a BBC. I was hooked on writing in machine code. I would program through the night having worked all day but on showing the results to the right people I landed the contract which is my only claim to fame. I wrote the original home computer game Star Wars. I started Vektor Grafix Ltd and we went on to write many top selling games. I sold Vektor in 1992.There were no good tools for writing games so myself and a brilliant guy called Ian Oliver started Cross Products Ltd and released a development system called SNASM. It sold Worldwide. We sold Cross Products to SEGA in 1994.By the age of 34 I'd built and sold two sizeable businesses. I had learnt the hard way how to manage people and had travelled the World negotiating agreements.Going back to my roots I built a Themed Events Company. We used social media back in the early days, in particular Facebook as a community for our customers to talk about our events and post videos and pictures. I ran that business for over a decade.I head up TRT, The Round Table, a Metaverse, Web3 community forging relationships in the space. In software engineering terms I have very much transitioned to blockchain programming, writing Solidity Smart Contracts and all that it entails when it comes to producing well tested and secure code, which led me to meet Francesco Sullof and together we are building Cruna!
