Since 2004 I have been building SaaS software companies.In 2006 I built Recipebridge.com wiht a co-founder to solve the problems associated with finding the "best" recipes on the Internet. Search was inindated with results from AllRecipes and large sites making it impossible to find recipes from great blogs and indepedant "personas".I built a search engine that gave all recipe sites a fair shake and organized data to make consuming quality recipes more easy.In 2009 I built a tool called Blogesteem to help rank and evaluate the quality of various blogs from a marketing partnerships perspective.This quickly evolved into a database of blogs called GroupHigh which evolved into a search engine for blogs incorporating real-time content.Imagine searching for mom blogs, in chicago, that have written about Home Depot in the last 30 days. In 2011 this was gold to marketers and seo professionals.GroupHigh along with Trackr pioneered the "influencer marketing software" space. We were the first CRM for influencers and provided amazing tools to discover, recruit, and measure the value of influencer content before anyone else.In 2018, GroupHigh was acquired by Mavrck.During my GroupHigh Journey I built FeedOtter to help our content-focused marketing team automate content newsletters with Marketo. I quickly expanded to support Pardot, Eloqua, and HubSpot.Today, FeedOtter is THE newsletter publishing tool used by some of the world's top publishers including Ziff Davis, Cleveland Clinic, Inc Magazine and hundreds more. From a simple RSS automation tool to powerful newsletter publishing platform. FeedOtter has been a great growth journey bringing together the worlds of email and content.In 2022 I started building an email visualization and collection tool to help FeedOtter customers find ideas and organize the newsletters they send. I worked with email experts to add functionality and in 2024 launched my collection of email tools as R1.I'm actively exploring the potential for R1 and doing some exciting things with FeedOtter.
