Andy has retrained as a primary school teacher and worked as an Upper KS2 teacher in Harrogate , currently a year 6 teacher at Ashville College Prep School, having developed a passion for teaching through his work in Tanzania including developing and teaching at the Iringa International School and leading field trips with the International Veterinary Conservation Masters course from UC Davis and an undergraduate programme from Houghton College, New York . He was levelled as 'outstanding' on his school placements.He has been awarded a P.G.C.E. at York St. John's University. Andy has a passion for getting others involved in, and understanding more of the issues that face the poorest and most marginalised in our society. He recently led Highfield Prep School to win the prestigious TES award for School Community Initiatives.Andy has good fluency in Makaton, developed through working with his own daughter who has Down syndrome.He is advising various NGO's and mission agencies on their work in rural and livestock development programmes and is happy to be consulted by anyone interested.Masters course in Tropical Veterinary Medicine Univ Edinburgh.Rural development course Uni Edinburgh.Since 2001 working with rural communities in Iringa region, Tanzania.Consultancy work for NGO's involved with livestock issues and household water treatment, plus community entry.Co-Director, Office Manager Neema Crafts Centre for People With Disabilities.
