Responsible for securing proprietary company, customer, and partner information, and for building and maintaining a team and a program that provided security against present and future threats. Developed and implemented strategies, technology, and processes to defend the company's assets against theft and misuse. Ensured the company could operate effectively and profitably in an extremely high-risk environment. Developed programs to operate in accordance with compliance frameworks (SOX, PCI DSS).

Oversaw the operations of NIATC, the organization charged with providing information security services across NATO. Provided security in support of ongoing operations, including Afghanistan, as well as for day-to-day business across Europe and North America. Identified security shortfalls and successfully led a multi-year effort to increase security in Afghanistan NATO IT environment. Sought after as an expert on cyber defense and information security; invited speaker at numerous NATO and industry conferences, panels, and seminars.

Over two decades of leadership experience in the Army's IT branch, with the last seven years focused on information security (since 2005). Successfully led large and small teams of both soldiers and civilians, and developed the skills necessary to ensure IT systems and services operated in challenging circumstances, including in wartime operations. Learned how to function effectively under the most extreme stress, and how to make teamwork effective and natural.
