As Executive Director of the Poultry Science Association, I lead the staff of an organization serving 1,800 educators, scientists, extension specialists, industry researchers, administrators, producers, and university students dedicated to advancing poultry science and innovation. My role centers on fostering collaboration, driving strategic initiatives, and ensuring that our members have the resources and support to excel in their fields. With more than two decades of experience in agribusiness journalism, I have a unique perspective on the industry, having spent significant time as a farm radio broadcaster, and later as a writer for Feedstuffs, the leading trade journal for the feed and livestock sectors. My tenure at Feedstuffs also included a role as Senior Account Director, where I built and nurtured client relationships, learned their business objectives, and developed and executed comprehensive multi-channel marketing strategies.Earlier in my career, I co-founded a syndicated radio news network that successfully delivered content to nearly 300 radio stations across six states, demonstrating my entrepreneurial spirit and ability to scale innovative ideas. My academic journey led me back to Ohio State in 2010 to complete my undergraduate studies, followed by graduate degrees in agricultural economics and business management at Purdue and Indiana Universities. I am currently a doctoral student at Ohio State, researching nonprofit leadership and organizational effectiveness.
