This area of the operation was a high expense, This includes Inventory Control, Inventory $ Targets, Material Mold Scheduling for 168 Molding Machines, Interplant Freight, Mexican Customs, and Inbound Component Freight (Ocean and Domestic).- Using value stream mapping, transaction kaizen events, and visual change management, reduced production down time due to material planning issues from 3 hours daily to 0.- Implemented 120 metrics and MDI Boards (Inventory Accuracy, Trailer Utilization, Inventory Turns, Supplier Delivery, etc.) to drive improvements across the Supply Chain.- Using the PDCA methodology, improved Production Schedule Attainment from 87% to 99%.- Using Kanban, Visual Mangement, and Value Stream Mapping, Improved Inventory Accuracy from 76% to 98% in all 3 facilities.- Implemented Hiejunka scheduling on 15 assembly lines in Juarez Operation.- Implemented Cycle Counting Inventory results from a loss of $4MM to a gain of $40K (on $29MM worth of inventory).- Reduced waste on interplant freight spend from $2.4MM annually to $1.2MM annually. -
