Lead strategic growth and development of ACPHealth’s existing service line and novel acute care innovative pathways. Interface with Community and larger Health System partners to transform and sustain their Emergency Departments, staff and align their hospital based physicians, and strengthen their systems through sustainable patient centered care.

Conceived, developed, and managed the implementation of all phases of the first FSED, Micro-Hospital (Neighborhood Hospital) and acute care focused health system for the region.Established and directed all strategic vision and growth, marketing strategy, business operations and regulatory compliance for a company that I led from just an idea to a multi-million dollar enterprise.Resulted in a significant increase of market share, identified additional revenue generating adjacencies and achieved broad provider alignment and robust care team performance on a novel inpatient care model. Expanded the company into multiple service lines and created a disruptive and rapidly scalable care delivery model. Positioned our company to become the 2nd Micro-Hospital development company in the Nation.Re-evaluated and transformed the standard model of acute patient care into a modernized acute care delivery model incorporating an observation and short stay inpatient program coupled with a transformative receiving/referral process involving multiple large health systems.Resulted in significant value to our patients, increased facility profits and improved engagement within our team of doctors, nurses and administrative staff.Drove multiple development and joint venture projects for Micro-Hospital development in 3 western states. Successfully negotiated more than $30 million in capital attainment through leverage and private equity funding, fueling development projects.Consistently anticipated and mitigated dynamic regulatory challenges that led to full accreditation and operational success while much larger institutions and well-established health systems failed. Executed a final sale and seamless transition process over an extended time period to ensure continued operational success.

Led the recruiting, retention and alignment of physician and mid-level providers for a multi-site health system with service lines in Urgent Care, Emergency Care, Inpatient Care, Outpatient Lab and Outpatient Imaging.Orchestrated sale and seamless transition of the business to an employee owned model made up of current physician staff.

Provided medical direction to the Paramedic Academy. Oversaw the first full national accreditation of the program. Improved the quality of the educational experience for cadets through standardized instructional content and meaningful practical training.

Oversaw the opening of an entirely new FSED site for Adeptus Health in the Houston, Texas market. Managed all aspects of the FSED including pharmacy, laboratory, medical equipment, and personnel management.Selected as one of two media and lobbying representatives in the region, representing the company on morning television shows, radio programs, and as a speaker at various community events. Developed, negotiated and proposed a novel post care prescription delivery program for the region.Personally recruited 5 Medical Directors for the company, along with a host of Board-Certified Emergency Physicians; also hand selected and trained/transitioned my replacement.

Led the development and oversaw the implementation of all phases and aspects of the first Concierge Medical Clinic in the region.Created an engaging and educational marketing approach to introduce this unconventional method of primary care delivery to a new market area.Partnered with insurance brokers and employers to develop primary care and catastrophic care insurance solutions which combined the best of direct primary care with the “safety net” of traditional insurance.Reduced our members’ annual medical expenses through aggressive and early intervention and through the reduced utilization of higher cost centers.

Led the Emergency Department for a Community Hospital including medical staff appointment and management, quality assurance and improvement, as well as other duties. Served as a member of the Medical Executive Committee and reported directly to the hospital CEO.

Selected by a vote of the Senior Staff and the Department Chairman to act as the Resident Physician leader of the Residency Program. Mentored upcoming resident physicians and acted as the intermediary between the Resident Body and the Hospital Administration. Acted as a resident physician ambassador to the other departments within the hospital. Handled complaints that involved residents. Provided counseling and corrective action to resident physicians as needed.
