Andy works at The Hong Kong Federations of Youth Group as a supervisor on youth counselling. His speciality includes service management, wellness promotion and media literacy education. Within joining the organization over 15 years, Andy has brought in about 15 million grants to the organization and served over 50,000 youth for media literacy education. Before his current role, Andy was a project leader at Media Counselling Centre. His focus was multi-addiction counselling, hotline counselling and cyber outreach. Andy was providing individual counselling, group therapy and project management, which nurtured his foundation of developing human service for various recipients. His main task is to innovate a timely, strategic and beneficial service to address the pain point of the community. His Project, “BeNetWise—Educational Project for Media Literacy,” received the Golden Award in the Wofoo Asian Award for Advancing Family Well-Being (Wofoo 3A Project) 2018 by the Consortium of Institutes on Family in the Asian Region (CIFA).Andy’s academic background has always been humanistic. He completed his Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from the University of Hong Kong and also acquired Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® Certified Practitioner and Neuro-Linguistic Programming Certified Practitioner. Andy spent years learning everything there is to know about youth, from individual counselling to project management. It has bettered him to respect and understand the different needs of the deprived.
