The objective of the SCADA Phase 3 project (Project) is to procure, install and commission the required components of a modern SCADA system on the National Transmission and Despatch Company (NTDC) electric grid. The outcome is to have a fully functional SCADA and Energy Management System (EMS) installed and operational by completion. This project will cover the leftover works of past SCADA project i.e. JICA funded Load Despatch System Upgrading Project (LDSUP) to have a complete functional SCADA system under the SCADA-III Upgradation project. This project also includes all the Common Delivery Points (CDP) that will be communicated through NTDC communication system.The project's main objective is to improve, upgrade, and extend the existing Load Despatch facilities at NPCC Islamabad to meet the essential requirement for effective monitoring and control of expanding power networks. Key Responsibilities held, but not limited to, include the following:o Carried out the detailed Technical, Commercial and Financial Evaluations of the prospective bidders.o Carried out the detailed design reviews for the following:- SCADA System- OPGW (scope of liveline installation of 4085 KMs OPGW – 2000 KMs for 500/220 kV and 2085 KMs for 132 kV)- Telecommunication System (a network with 131 SDH (Synchronous Digital Hierarchi) Nodes and 34 DPLC (Digital Power Line Carrier) Links- Microwave System - DC Power Systemo Project Coordination.o Expenditure Monitoring and report preparation for NTDC’s higher management.o Stakeholder Management (Contractor, Consultant, NEPRA, Ministry of Energy).o Monitoring and Supervision of Site Installation Activities.o Project Status Report Preparation for the National Regulator (NEPRA) and the Ministry of Energy (Power Division) Pakistan.o Project Scheduling.o Project Factory Acceptance Tests and Site Acceptance Tests.

NTDC’s Telecommunications department is responsible for the planning, designing, operation and maintenance of the Telecommunication and Tele-Protection Network of the National Transmission Grid of Pakistan.Key Projects and the responsibilities undertaken include the following:o ADB-200 (LOT-II) –220 kV Zhob Substation and the Extension Works for 220 kV DI Khan: Responsible for the complete planning, project designing and evaluation.o ADB-202R-2019 – SCADA Phase-III Upgradation Project at NPCC, NTDC: Responsible for preparation of specifications and bidding documentation.o 765 kV DASU-Mansehra-Islamabad West: Responsible for the prepartion of specifications and BOQ for the project.o +- 660 kV Lahore Matiari Transmission Line Project (HVDC): Responsible for design verification and supervision of execution of the Telecommunication related field activities.o Lahore Orange Line Metro Project: Responsible for the complete planning, project designing and evaluation for the 132 kV grid stations and associated lines.o Planning and Designing activities of various ongoing and future network projects.

The Transceiver Laboratory of Satellite Research and Development Centre, Karachi (SRDC-K) was responsible for designing, manufacturing and testing the S-Band Telecommand Receiver Unit for the PakTes 1-A Satellite. Key responsbilities included the following:o Designed and developed various modules (including Converters, Oscillators, Phase Locked Loop Oscillators and Dielectric Oscillators) on industry standard software Agilent Advanced Design Systems (ADS).o Experience on state-of-the-art measuring instruments like Vector Network Analyzers, Signal Analyzer, Signal Generators and Load Pull System.

My research had been focused on the development and optimization of a framework for an end-to-end Spoken Dialogue System using the Galaxy Open-source architecture. I also worked on the modeling, analysis and removal of noise from the training and testing data of speech to introduce noise robustness in the Automatic Speech Recognizer system. The research work also included to develop an Interactive Voice Response system for the Weather Information Spoken Dialog System and the Bus Reservation Spoken Dialog System.
