Technology and its countless aspects fascinate me a lot! Specifically, IT project management provides the basis for all the functional areas of business in today’s world.I have completed my degree in Computer Science and I wanted to utilize the skills in IT projects, especially in the core areas of business analysis & design. In my first role as a professional, my responsibilities were to design working layouts, coding & implementation, and maintaining the web portals. I developed effective skills in design and development tools and built strong relationships with clients. With my strong performance and coordination skills, I was offered the role of Project Coordinator for British clients to coordinate the implementation and testing of retail software. My experience as a Project Coordinator made me realize that I needed more advanced team management and analytical skills. I wanted to cultivate this ability while working in IT-Industry, so I enrolled for a Masters in Project Management Program.Once I graduated, I took a challenge and joined a startup. I was assigned tasks to lead and manage International IT Projects as Project Manager by coordinating with stakeholders, analyze requirements, make project plans, arrange team meetings, assign tasks and deliver milestones. I enjoyed the moments when my planned & designed projects were deployed successfully.I was honored to get an interview call from Pakistan Revenue Automation Limited, a government-owned IT company, which offered me a post as a System Analyst providing me an opportunity to grow as a business/system analyst and understand the diversity of taxation systems. There I met stakeholders most of whom are Government Officials, gather requirements, analyze and design workflows, design mock-ups, get approvals, document requirements, propose solutions and participate in UAT. This brings me the opportunity to be part of a National Reform project of Pakistan Customs to improve Pakistan’s ranking in International Trade. I have been assigned a role as Business Analyst for Implementation of a National Single Window for Trade now named Pakistan Single Window. PRAL is a happening place and so far my work provides me satisfaction, that I am doing something good for my company and my country.
