- Self Service Portal Creation1) Led the ideation, backend development and testing of the self service portal, a secure generic portal with audit logging that automates many engineering actions such as support user login or changing status for a customer's tenant. This portal has been very helpful in reducing support ticket debt.- Improved Cache Rates1) Identified that cache hit rates were among 3-4% throughout the platform, leading to high page load times in the UI.2) Led the development of fixing the caching logic across multiple APIs and saw ~25x to 40x improvements on latency for certain APIs. For example, for an API to load the events over time dashboard the first time load times were brought down from 44 seconds to around 1.44 seconds.- Resource Groups1) Part of the development team that created resource groups V2 for enhanced data viewership customizability in the UI and API responses.2) Created the backend APIs with extensive testing, generic metric and exception handling, implemented observability metrics and dashboards for efficient monitoring, and was part of resource groups database design storage.3) Worked on supporting V2 resource groups when routing alerts to specific alert channels.- Role Based Access Control (RBAC) Revamp1) Was one of three developers in charge of redefining role based access control in the platform and responsible for: a) Helping create a new microservice called Heimdall to handle all access control logic and decisions for a user. b) Backend development of the access control logic to be applied on each API using a custom dropwizard annotation that takes in the action required to execute the endpoint. c) Helping with database design for storing user permissions, the user groups and roles created within each tenant. d) Helping with creating a unit testing framework to test permission decision making logic and integration tests for overall API functionality based on the user permission matrix.

- Helped Implement API V2 Rate Limiting1) One of two developers to implement rate limiting for V2 API’s to unblock the general availability of the new APIs.2) Led the discovery phase to consider different solutions before deciding on using Hazelcast and helped with development and testing of the solution.- API V1 to V2 migration1) Helped migrate many V1 APIs to a new V2 version to help customers achieve more flexibility, versatility and freedom when trying to get their data. My contributions included developing, testing, and creating external documentation for equivalent V2 APIs for certain V1 APIs in order to maintain parity with V1 offering. 2) This work eventually unblocked the deprecation of the V1 APIs and was a big milestone due to Lacework being an API first company.- K8s Audit Log integration1) Led the development and testing of an API and UI offering for the K8s activity monitoring cloud account integration with AWS. 2) Worked closely with cross functional teams such as the DB loader and UI team to finalize the design and user experience of the integration.- Salesforce Aurora Synchronization project1) Salesforce was used as a source of truth to track customer contract information. As a security company, it is imperative to make sure there are no inconsistencies in the data in terms of customer billing, account status, etc. 2) Was one of three developers to work on ensuring consistency of customer data in the Aurora database from Salesforce. My work involved creating a new microservice to enable the interaction between Salesforce and Lacework and alerted concerned colleagues of discrepancies between the data so they can be fixed. - Integrate Flyway1) Led the integration of using Flyway to automate database upgrades for the SaaS backend team to eliminate manual database upgrades. Was the primary engineer involved from the design phase to productization and integrated Flyway into our code base and in Kubernetes environments.

• Worked on a social good project for the non-profit organization, Neighborhood Housing Services of Chicago (NHS), to encourage grassroots marketing and spread the word regarding NHS programs and activities through the use of technology.• Developed a wireframe of redesigned NHS home page using BALSAMIQ and then used REACT to build the home page.• Created a wireframe of a pretest using BALSAMIQ to test basic financial knowledge, used PYTHON to develop a course recommendation algorithm based on the pretest score, and used REACT to create and link pretest onto the web application.

Digital ID Card (Spring 2019): 1) Developed Digital ID cards that comply to state regulations to reflect auto insurance cards for Country Financial customers. 2) Used JAVA in the backend to send necessary information in a list depending on State Code to frontend, used JAVASCRIPT to display the necessary information on the Digital ID card, and used POSTMAN to visualize the data being pulled.Claims Applications (Summer 2018): 1) Created new modules and fixed native deprecated iOS mobile application using OBJECTIVE-C. Emergency Application (Fall 2018): 1) Contains all emergency protocols and contact information to be used by Country Financial employees in emergencies. 2) Used REACT NATIVE to build application and FIREBASE to store all emergency company data.

- Developed User Experience Score to quantify user experience for call-center representatives across UnitedHealth Group by looking at variables (ex. Response times of button actions) collected through a plugin within the Navigator application.- Characterized abnormally high response times per button function as “anomalies” and created three machine learning models (Decision Tree, Neural Network, Random Forest) to increase the prediction rates.- Received a 93% accuracy in categorizing functions as anomalies using the Random Forest Classifier and a 84% accuracy with a Decision Tree.- Used PYTHON, Scikit-learn machine learning library, and NumPy to develop machine learning models and JAVASCRIPT to display User Experience Score on RxForesight monitoring tool webpage.

ACM is one of the largest clubs at UIUC compared to other universities and i'm glad to be on the board for such an influential club! Some responsibilities include:- Responsible for emailing and calling companies to guarantee sponsorship for projects and schoolwide events. For example, some of the companies include Microsoft, Amazon, John Deere and more! - Work with companies to set up talks and other events for many companies that mutually benefit both students and sponsors- Help department run successful tech talks

- Assisted in expanding the growth of the company through social media and on-ground interactions with students- Created Excel spreadsheets to help keep track of customer demand, financial position of company, and marketing factors that have lead to successful or unsuccessful results.- Created basic regression models, bar graphs, and line graphs to see results over time and to judge future steps for company!- Performed physical on-ground interactions by setting up booths on busy campus streets!
