As a Department Controller my work scope covers the aspect of running the Technical Support Department while focusing on manpower and resources to be optimised to meet the Service standards and Customer requirement.Job ResponsibilitiesPlan:Recommends improvements to departmental policy and directs the implementation of procedures and control. Reviews and advises on quality, punctuality and safety objectives, including providing action plans to address persistent service failures. Reviews and audits the maintenance and servicing activities conducted to ensure alignment with Industry Standard Procedures (Regulatory) and SLAs with airlines. Create departmental plan for effective use of manpower and equipment to provide services agreed.Lead:Coordinate with shift supervisors to ensure that work processes are implemented in day-to-day operations. Provide formal and informal feedback to the direct and indirect reports to ensure that work is carried out efficiently in line with the department's targets. Responsible for ensuring all training is complete.Execute:Ensures that safety briefings are conducted regularly while intervening when there is risk exposure. Act as a role model for safe behaviours and follows up on corrective actions. Ensures compliance to all relevant safety policies, procedures and controls across the department to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance. Adopts a responsible environmental knowledge, and confidence to work safely by providing support, direction , being a role model for the desired safety behaviours. Oversees the routine tasks and additional non-scheduled tasks carried out by the Mechanics to meet expected quality levels, service delivery targets and dnata KPIs. Develops reports which include analyses on any discrepancies to ensure that standards I.A.W Regulatory requirements and guidelines are maintained and co-ordinates any responses / investigations / audit findings as required.

Joined as junior Mechanic.As part of Dnata Technical Services management and administration to overlook the quality of operations pertaining to technical services.
