I worked as a Data Science Intern at RedFerns Tech Private Limited from May to September 2024. Here, I used to work with an innovative and dedicated team towards developing impactful solutions for customer engagement.Key work: Built a customer support chatbot using Meta's LLaMa 3 LLM, cloud APIs. I helped design the user interface of the chatbot using HTML and CSS to make it intuitive and user-friendly. Coupled with improved AI models like OpenAI and Hugging Face for query processing, this effort resulted in a 25% increase in customer engagement. I used Google Dialogflow along with a custom Gradio interface, which further helped hone my full-stack development skills as well as cloud-deployment abilities.Working at RedFerns Tech has allowed me to sharpen my proficiency in Python, C++, and Google Colab as well as Docker. It has also helped me learn the best way to collaborate with cross-functional teams so that I can take complicated technical concepts and explain them clearly. Additionally, I absorbed the art of seamlessly integrating synchronous generators with auxiliary systems, honing my skills in synchronizing critical components to ensure optimal performance.Learning Electrical Single-Line Diagram (ESLD) Designing: I took on the challenge of understanding and analyzing electrical single-line diagrams (ESLD). This expertise became the bedrock of my comprehension of the power plant's electrical infrastructure, guiding me in identifying and resolving potential issues and inefficiencies.Lighting Requirements Analysis: An essential aspect of my role involved meticulously calculating the lighting requirements for the thermal power plant. My work in this area contributed significantly to creating a well-illuminated and safe working environment for the plant's personnel.Switchgear: I actively drove the process of determining the appropriate number of low voltage and medium voltage switchgear units essential for the smooth and reliable functioning of the power plant. This crucial task required precise calculations and a keen eye for detail.Cable Specification: As part of my learning journey, I grasped the significance of different types and their varied applications and properties of HT and LT and FS cables, contributed to the overall efficiency and safety of the power plant's electrical systems.Throughout the internship, I not only acquired invaluable technical skills but also developed a deep appreciation for the meticulous planning and execution required in the power generation industry.
