The initiative will extend the Telecom industry standard data model, SID to provide a common… Show more The aim of the project was to create an Integrated Services Layer based on the SOA approach to provide services to several consumer applications in the Fulfillment (Order to Activation), Workforce management and Assurance (Fault to Restoration) domains. The initiative will structure the various domains in the client organization by providing effective and powerful services based on the NGOSS framework. The initiative will extend the Telecom industry standard data model, SID to provide a common information model across all consumers and providers. The initiative has several interfaces utilizing SOAP/JMS, MQ, SOAP/HTTP and XML over JMS technologies. The project is developed using Websphere Integration Developer and DataXtend Semantic Integrator along with the extensive use of Java for performing various manipulations within the code. The project is deployed onto Websphere Process Server and utilizes JDBC to connect to a Oracle 10G database for reference/transaction related data manipulations.Responsibilities• Aid in identifying and gathering requirements from the various consumer/provider architecture and business units.• Create the solution framework for the initiative based on best practices in both solution architecture and design.• Leading the design team to come up with the high level and detailed level design for the solution.• Enhancing the TeleManagement Forum’s Shared Information Data model (SID) to create OCIM (OSS Common Information Model) based on the solution requirements.• Review of code artefacts to ensure quality and adherence to standards.• Interface with the software package vendor in case any fix, enhancements are required. • Provide technical leadership to the team during build and testing.• Assess solution change requests and aid in effort estimation and solution reviews.• Design and build sufficient monitoring and alarming capabilities in the solution to assist operational support.
