The roles serve as a key adviser to the Vice-Chancellor and President (VCP), providing high-level strategic advice on regionalism, donor & international relations. As well as supporting the decision-making processes to enhance the overall effectiveness of USP’s core-funding partnership agreements with the Governments of Australia and New Zealand.The primary purpose of this role is threefold:1. To provide oversight of and manage the delivery of the contractual commitments outlined in the core-funding agreements with the two metropolitan country members, Australia and New Zealand, where both have formal, multi-year partnership agreements with USP. Including maintaining, optimising and growing these strategic relations and assisting the VCP on the oversight of DFAT and MFAT funded projects where the reporting requirements link them to the core-funding partnership agreements. 2. To manage, maintain, optimise and advance USP’s relations (and contributions) as an organisation for regional cooperation and integration (and as a valued member of the Council of Regional Organisations in the Pacific (CROP) agencies) with the progress of the 2050 Blue Pacific Strategy. 3. To build trust, strengthen ties, and promote strategic cooperation with international development/funding agencies and the Governments of the United Kingdom, United States, Japan, China and India.

I am pleased to join a diverse global team advising RTT on very important international issues and mobilising youth across the globe for action and advocacy on such issues. For years now, youth have been speaking out about climate change and have been demanding action from leaders as this is an existential threat that requires immediate attention. Unfortunately, their plea for action has fallen on deaf ears. While youth are passionate about the issues of climate change and nuclear disarmament, the tools for effective mobilization are missing. What the youth need are direct pathways to engage with global leaders.To address the environmental catastrophe of nuclear weapons, this project engages youth by providing educational resources to understand the intersecting nature of these twin existential threats; encourage movement building through art; and create opportunities to share their local histories/stories in public and policy spaces. Our motto is youth must rise up and take action to change the world. This is the inaugural program of Youth Empowerment and Uprising: Center on Global Security, Law, and Sustainable Development.

I am excited to share this appointment by the European Commission. For the next 2 years, I will be representing the Pacific on the Commission’s Youth Sounding Board, together with 24 other amazing young leaders from around the globe, in our voluntary role as YSB, we will be working to increase the youth participation and empowerment dimension of EU international cooperation and development policies and;:- providing advice to the Commissioner and Director General (DG) of European Commission International Partnerships (INPTA) on policies related to youth and especially on youth participation and empowerment through international partnerships.- supporting DG INTPA and the Commissioner in monitoring the rollout and the use of tools aiming at strengthening youth participation and empowerment.- Advising the Commissioner for International Partnerships and DG INTPA on youth participation and empowerment in the field of EU international partnerships. - Advising the Commissioner on EU external action on topics such as employment, education, training and entrepreneurship, environment and climate change, human rights and democracy, peace and security, digitalisation and technology, gender social inclusion and health, peace, and security, as well as culture, arts, media, and journalism.- Supporting the overall mandate of building partnerships for sustainable global change.
