Light curable materials development• Communicated with the demand unit and defined the specific properties of materials for optical module assembly. Evaluated commercialized products while developing own formulae. Developed at least 2 types of UV adhesives (epoxy, acrylate) and reduced the cost by 50% compared to the target UV adhesives.• Designed the experiments to find the key parameters. Established test methods referring to ASTM.• Set up a workshop for material development, manufacturing and testing and established SOP.• Improved the process (assembly, dispensing, curing) in clean room for better efficiency, precision and stability. Introduced the formulae into the mass production of optical module assembly.• Customized the UV adhesives for blood chip assembly.2. Silicone elastomers development• Developed self-adhesive liquid silicone rubbers as the replacement for international brand products, decreasing the cost by 50%.• Developed bio-compatible transparent liquid silicone rubbers with the certificates (ISO 10993). The material was introduced to mass production of teeth isolation system.3. Assisted medical devices development• Verified the unknown medical materials and recommended the materials.4. Solved the problems in plastics molding• Collaborated with multiple units to solve the molding issues by the failure analysis. Identified the root cause. Provided the solutions according to the experiments.• Troubleshot the defects of injection molding through modifying raw materials or process parameters.
