-Develop and consult on measures and interventions to include a new PCORI funded study designed to prevent and treat postpartum depression and anxiety in Black women in Washington, DC. -Help to develop research design for a mixed-methods study in collaboration with the Institute for the Developing Brain at Children’s National Hospital.-Co-develop and facilitate training of the QuickSCID-5 for perinatal behavioral specialists and maternity care specialists at the Institute for the Developing Brain at Children’s National HospitalChildren’s National Hospital.-Mentor and coordinate training for undergraduate students on maternal mental health and new research study.-Attend various weekly, monthly, and quarterly meetings with the Institute for the Developing Brain, consultants at Medstar Georgetown as well as local and national content experts to support the development of new research.-Attend weekly lab meetings to discuss ongoing research projects, analyze qualitative data, and participate in professional development.

Developmental Psychology

ECG) to assist in the research study and to collect date from participants- Examined the relative contribution of parent attachment versus peer attachment in coping with stress in emerging adulthood- Wrote 20 page research article to report research findings

- Advised socio-economically disadvantaged youth at a Non-Profit organization in the Bronx, NY - Facilitated group discussions on social and political issues to educate Bronx youth and organize advocacy programs- Provided emotional support for community youth as they struggled with environmental barriers and academic achievement- Engaged in community outreach to recruit community members to participate in organization events and programs
