I am a part of Open HR Forum - a self-organised group of HR professionals and enthusiasts. We organise inspirational online events, workshops, cross-generational discussions and networking events. I participated on the launch of students platform that aims to connect professionals with students, provide help, guidance and opportunities. I usually help with the creation of visuals and graphics for social media and marketing communication. I am also actively involved in various tasks to plan, prepare, successfully deliver and evaluate events.

I worked as a catering assistant in various locations in Bournemouth, such as Hilton Bournemouth, O2 Academy Bournemouth or Bournemouth International Centre.

Working as a catering assistant, I delived exceptional customer service on daily bases in a vibrant environment, which is a huge temptation for tourist and visitor to the town but also serving customers who are part of events (such as weddings, charity dinners etc.) organised on the grounds of the company. The position requires a friendly and hard-working approach, keeping high-standards of customer service at all times. It involves working in a team and use of exceptional communication skills when dealing with customers as well as talking to colleagues.

I work as a student ambassador through the induction weeks. This role involves airport pickups, tours around campus and Buxton town, student night out with ambassadors and a presence at the help-desk. I use my knowledge about the university, student life and Buxton to communicate this information to new students, helping them with enquiries, answering their questions and support them during the first weeks of their studies.

Assist at the preparation of key events, including the location set-up and decorations. Event listings include weddings, receptions, charity, and dinner events. During events, the role consists of welcoming guests, as well as waiting on tables and working on the bar on occasion, ensuring standards of the company are kept to at all times. It requires to work in a well-organised and systematic way, working effectively within a team. Post-event role includes cleaning and take-down of the event decorations and tables, thus setting the location up for university and college use the following day.

The Old Original Bakewell Pudding Shop is a sought-after tourist spot for anyone travelling to the Peak District National Park and its surroundings. This position requires flexibility because a small team of colleagues during busy periods need to support each other and move around the building from serving people in a café, delivering food and beverages in a restaurant, selling bakery products, servings and gifts in the shop, to washing dishes. It involves the use of excellent communication skills, team-work, as well as working independently to deliver quality results in day-to-day operations and customer service.

As a part of this role was initial training which ensured that all staff were well informed about the products offered, history of the company and its achievements. During serving customers and mixing the Bubble tea drinks, I had to provide excellent customer service and create an experience through communication providing information about products, showing interest and friendliness to all customers.

I worked in Bufet Lumax for three summer seasons - 2013, 2014, 2015 - starting as a shop assistant selling ice-cream, later becoming a bartender. This was my first job helping me to develop hard-working approach towards the work and the team-working skills.
