Inspired by my Masters’ elective ‘The Psychologist as a Behavioural Designer’ I conducted a nudging project at Aarhus University Hospital, Department of PET/Nuclear Medicine. The dual and related purposes were preventing patients from getting lost and having to ask staff for directions (thereby saving valuable time and preventing stress for patients and staff alike), as well as increasing the patients’ understanding of a new wayshowing system at the soon-to-be largest hospital in Northern Europe.• Based on extensive qualitative and quantitative data gathering and analysis conducted on site of patient and staff behaviour and experiences, I developed nudging/EAST interventions that targeted identified biases involved in the patients’ sub-optimal wayfinding behaviour.Results: Post-intervention data analyses saw a statistically significant increase in patient understanding of the wayshowing system from 4.5 % to 95.5 %, as well as a decrease in patients getting lost (from 33% to 29%) and a decrease in patients asking staff for directions (from 45.5% to 35.5%) following the nudging interventions.

EF Education First is educating young people all over the world with programs focusing on language, academics, and cultural experience. As Course Leader I was responsible for the Danish group of students staying in Rookesbury over the summer. Tasks included:• Teaching English and translating to facilitate the students' understanding• Ensuring thrive & solving conflicts between the students• Guiding the students in personal and social issues• Coordinating and carrying out activities and trips for the Danish and international students at the destination• Liaising with course leaders from other countries, local English staff and the Danish EF office
