Four years ago I returned to the private sector after twelve years in politics on local and national levels. At Peab, I have built up and managed a team of system managers of production systems. Our goal has been to secure stable operations with a focus on the end-user as well as the costs. This is achieved through collaboration with other departments and constant work on improving our processes and routines. One of my main responsibilities is providing the best possible conditions for my employees. During my years in politics I took an honour in cooperating with people of all parties. As a mayor of the municipality of Båstad I had the responsibility to develop the municipality as well as securing the budget during the financial crisis. I had the advantage of being a substitute board member of the Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions, meeting local politicians from all over the country. The six years as a member of the Swedish Parliament widened my experience as well as my network also internationally. Being a generalist is one of my strengths. I am structured and used to taking in a lot of and complex information, to see the whole picture and to be able to package it in a way that makes it understandable for others. I am a team player but also used to writing reports and I enjoy everything with numbers.
