- Interface between development team and operations, providing DfM feedback to design team and reviewing and documenting design knowledge for manufacturing.- Drive industrialization activities and support qualification process.- Improve new product introduction, safe launch, and mass production through data analysis.- Initiate yield enhancement in every stage, coordinate root cause finding and process improvement

- Support IC failure analysis during new product introduction, including electrical failure mode characterization and validation, fault localization, and coordination with physical analysis team- Cooperate with design and project teams in silicon level debug, product qualification and yield improvement- Handle customer return cases of engineering samples, work with quality assurance teams and customers on safe launch projects- Develop failure analysis hardware/software and strategies for new products- Report and build up FMEA database for new products- Take lead in failure analysis document and procedure transfer projects to teams at manufacturing sites- Knowledge in analog and digital measurement and testing

This project discusses the challenges of high-speed and wide-band digital-to-analog converters(DAC) and explores the possibility of integrating the D/A and mixing functions into a single mixing-DAC(RF DAC) using 40nm CMOS technology. This project is in cooperation with NXP Semiconductors, BU Automotive, Radar & Wideband Front-ends group. The responsibilities included:- Literature survey in high speed DACs for mm-wave transmitters, architecture exploration and evaluation- Schematic design of complete mixing-DAC and layout of core circuit, including simulation and verification

- Build high-level models for time-to-digital converters in application of mobile device distance measurement- Evaluate different design architectures and options for given specifications- Verify the models with schematic design simulation result

- Handle customer complaint cases, coordinate with 8D teams in root cause finding and corrective action verifying- Provide IC failure analysis service to project teams and reliability department during product qualification and ramp-up- Support IC failure analysis activities for production lines, including root cause finding and process improvement- Experienced in electrical and physical analysis
