As an engineer in the Space Systems Research Group at the School of Engineering, I successfully integrated an external controller and a robotic arm/grabber into a Raspberry Pi 4-powered LEO rover platform. The rover operates on the Robotic Operating System (ROS), and I developed a comprehensive test program to ensure reliable performance during outreach activities.The integrated camera enables the rover to identify rock samples on simulated lunar or Martian landscapes. Additionally, the robotic arm allows for the collection of samples, enhancing the rover's capabilities for educational demonstrations.

As an Electrical Systems Engineer for the Manchester Cansat Program, I excelled in selecting and integrating sensors, data handling systems, and power solutions. I collaborated with a diverse team, carefully selecting sensors like cameras, LiDAR, GPS, and IMU to capture critical data. I also implemented efficient data handling systems for real-time insights.My role involved evaluating power requirements and devising a robust strategy using energy-efficient and renewable technologies, ensuring uninterrupted operations. Throughout the project, I conducted rigorous testing, resolving issues early on to meet the highest quality standards.
