About Angad Khosla
I am a highly motivated and enthusiastic Economics BSc graduate (Dec’23) and volunteer. I have a strong passion for people, aviation, and International Economics and Business, drawing on years of cross-cultural experience, and time spent in India, Netherlands, and now the United States. My interest in Economics came from my time growing up in India, trying to understand the wide socioeconomic disparities in my country. Economics gave me a plurality of perspectives, initially in the form of microeconomic and macroeconomic analysis, which allowed me to gain a sense of the market forces that drive an economy. I further developed my knowledge of Economics during my higher education, taking developmental and financial focuses of the subject to understand the wider consequences of economic policy across various industries.

Research Assistant
I identified monetization challenges of AI-assisted search by looking at the current monetization strategies offered in search, looking for potential threats to Google’s market dominance. Furthermore, I analyzed historical examples of incumbency failures to discern underlying marker structures, and then formulated innovative monetization strategies to foster a more competitive AI-driven search market. The data and information gathered was used by a professor of the Economics department to support their research.

Data Analytics Intern
The main goal of this project was for the team to gather information on how satisfied the customers are with using PrivateCircle, and to determine the areas of improvement for their financial networking services. I designed and shared a Net Promoter Score (NPS) survey after categorizing conversations with customers on the Intercom chatbot. I further prepared a detailed analysis of NPS survey responses, which involved running generalized regressions on the data, to provide additional follow-up measures to eliminate explicit issues and improve NPS for the future.

Marketing Analytics Intern
As an analytics intern on a competition audit in the food department, I analyzed large volumes of data in the form of the competition's online media presence. The three main pillars for the competition audit were digital media (type), digital creativity, and use of technology. This process taught me how to clean, systemize, and visualize data using MS Excel to identify patterns and trends in data more efficiently. Further, I picked up the technical skills to synthesize large volumes of data and present the trends and patterns correlating media presence and sales figures on the job. I also had to use logic and reasoning to identify and make inferences from extrapolated trends in the data.
